DNR Process commissions control system and field instruments for Chestnut Avenue Waterwork project

Plant and process automation consultants DNR Process Solutions played an important role in the modification to Chestnut Avenue Waterwork, a project handled by United Engineers (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
DNR’s role in the project was to design, supply, installation, testing and commission the control system and field instruments
for the new equipment supplied under this contract. The company was also involved with upgrading of existing PLC’s and SCADA System for the entire plant. DNR’s i-PICS, Integrated Process Instrumentation and Control Solution, was the solution offered for this project.
The Chestnut Avenue Waterwork project is an important project commissioned by the PUB with an aim to increase the Waterwork’s capacity from 60 to 90 million gallon per day, while producing potable water that meets World Health Organisation standards. The scope of the project also involved the replacement and/or refurbishment of a number chemical dosing, mechanical and electrical equipment.
